Kitbitz has a strict boundary: the original illustration assets are freely reusable, while the software and source code that serve them are not open source. This page is a practical summary, not legal advice.
Illustration assets: CC0 1.0 Universal
Original illustration files in the Kitbitz asset library are dedicated under CC0 1.0 Universal. You may copy, modify and distribute those assets, including commercially, without asking permission. Attribution is not required; a credit to Kitbitz is appreciated.
Catalog records, previews, download URLs and MCP responses may point to these assets, but do not extend CC0 to the software that serves them.
Platform: proprietary and all rights reserved
The catalog pipeline and metadata tooling, website code, Figma plugin source, MCP server source, project documentation, configuration and infrastructure are proprietary. They are not licensed for copying, modification, redistribution, sublicensing or derivative works without prior written permission.
Using the hosted catalog, Figma plugin or public MCP endpoint does not grant a license to the underlying platform code. An original CC0 illustration returned through one of those tools remains subject to the asset license above.
Rights not granted by CC0
CC0 only applies to rights the relevant asset rights holders own or control. It does not grant patent, trademark, publicity, privacy or other third-party rights. Names, logos, brands, recognizable people and other depicted subjects may require separate permission depending on the use and jurisdiction.
No license implies endorsement, and the project and its assets are provided without warranties. See the CC0 deed for the complete license summary.
